Respect the rules of the house and educate yourself. Now what I mean my this in the legal profession, there are rules that apply to everyone, and there are rules that apply specifically in different jurisdictions, and there are local rules. You need to educate yourself before you jump into the fray and start taking a position on any specific issue. The last thing you want to do is go into a courtroom and say I want this to happen, and they say, “Well, have you read local rule number 7, it says that can’t happen.” Now this can translate over into your personal life also. Before you jump into the fray and cause some sort of controversy at your work, church, school, something like that you need to educate yourself on the house rules and how they apply to your specific situation.
