LEARN WITH A LAWYER - SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION WHEN SOMEONE HELPS YOU!
Show your appreciation. Someone helps you, tell them you appreciate it. If someone helps advance your cause or helps you get a good result in your case, tell them you appreciate it. This happens in the legal community all the time. It doesn’t have to be directly with your lawyer, maybe you are in the courtroom and someone tells you where to go or a court security says, you are in the wrong courtroom. Those are your times to say thank you, I know you didn’t have to help me out. I know that it was no advantage to you to put me in a better situation, but I appreciate it that. You will be surprised what that little bit of appreciation can do, how far it can go and how it might advantage you down the road, because someone will know you appreciated their actions. This translates over to your personal life as well. If you are the type of person who shows appreciation, if you acknowledge when someone went out of their way to help you, you are going to ingratiate yourself to that person. Then if you ever need anything in the future, they’re going to know that you appreciated it when they helped you the last time, and they’re going to be way more likely to help you this time. Show your appreciation both in your personal life and in your legal life.
