Can I try to work on my marriage while my divorce case is pending? The answer is yes. Sometimes couples will try to do marriage counseling while the divorce case is pending to try and reconcile their marriage. If this is the case, you can dismiss your divorce case at any point in time while the case is pending. If you dismiss the divorce case you will have to refill for divorce if you decide that you want to proceed later on and wait those 60 days for the mandatory waiting period in the state of Kansas.
